Gibbs the Basset Hound

Purchasing portraits, prints and the book

Aloha everyone.
A lot of you who have submitted your dogs to be in the project have been inquiring about purchasing the portrait of your dog, or a print of the portrait. I have also received many questions about when the book will be on sale. I thought I would take a minute to address these issues.
The paintings will all be for sale, first refusal being given to the owner of the depicted dog. The only paintings not for sale are ones already promised to people who originally backed the project when it was still on kickstarter.com in the fundraising stage. All others will be priced at $200, $50 of which is a donation to the Hawaii Island Humane Society. All paintings are either 8"x10" or 10"x8".  I have been researching options for showing the entire collection of paintings as an exhibition. For this I will need all 150 completed paintings, so the original portraits cannot be delivered until after this showing.
Prints of every dog will always be available. These are archival quality giclee prints suitable for framing, all hand signed. The prints will sell for $25 each. Prints are available as soon as a portrait is posted online. If you are interested in a print of any dog you see here please email me as I haven't had a chance to update the store page on my website.
The book will be available shortly after all of the portraits are completed. It will take a while to do all of the design work for the book, get a proof printed and complete the editing process. Once ready the book will be available to buy online through my website, blog and lulu.com. I am also starting to receive inquiries from retailers interested in carrying the collection.
I will definitely post here when the paintings are finished, when the show will be and when the book is available for sale. I have a nice pace going and I am really hoping that I will be finished with the paintings within two months, which would be ahead of schedule.
Anyway thank you all for your support and enthusiasm for the project, I am having a blast with your pets and it is a sincere pleasure to create art with you all!!!

Mahalo and Aloha!
